We developed an automated Excel-based solution designed to streamline amenities tracking, defect management, and solution recommendations for a property management company. Additionally, it automates the generation of a structured upload file for Revela’s Inspection Application. This tool simplifies data entry, ensures consistency, and minimizes manual efforts. Users can efficiently add, modify, and synchronize amenities, defect categories, recommended solutions, and generate structured reports with a single click.

  • Macro-Enabled Functionality: Ensures automation through VBA scripts, requiring users to enable macros for execution.
  • Amenities & Defect Management: Users can add or modify amenities and defect categories easily in the ‘Amenities’ and ‘Defects’ tabs.
  • Automatic Data Synchronization: Ensures any defect category updates are reflected across relevant worksheets.
  • Solution Recommendation Engine: Automatically suggests appropriate remedies based on defect types using a predefined ‘Solutions’ sheet.
  • Automated Report & Upload Generation: Compiles structured reports for property inspections, categorizing amenities, defects, and solutions, and creates the required upload template for Revela’s Inspection Application.
  • User-Friendly Interface: A ‘Custom Tasks’ button with three automation options for efficient data handling.

How It Works:

  1. Enable Macros – Users must enable macros when opening the Excel file to allow VBA code execution.
  2. Custom Tasks Button – Provides three automation options:
    • Synchronize Defect Categories: Ensures defect data consistency across relevant worksheets.
    • Generate Solution Report: Suggests appropriate remedies for defects using the predefined ‘Solutions’ sheet.
    • Compile Property & Revela Upload Report: Populates relevant data into the final structured report and generates the necessary file for Revela’s Inspection Application.
  3. One-Click Execution – Users can trigger automation with a single click and instantly view results.
